Why Do You Have To Do What You Can Today? #productivity

A time lost can never be found again. So, why wait for tomorrow when you can do it today? A task that needs to be done yesterday or last week can frantically slave you because you put it off until tomorrow.

This habit is called PROCRASTINATION which is a bad habit of putting of until the day after tomorrow what should have been done the day before yesterday. Lazy people loves to do this because they think that there are many tomorrows if they cannot do the task today.

In fact, nothing is as exhausting as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. The secret to get something done is to begin and we can only get things done in the present instead of waiting until tomorrow to get it started.

The best preparation for tomorrow is doing the best you can today. because no one knows what is going to happen tomorrow. It is essential to know the true value of time. Then, snatch, seize, and enjoy every moment of it. No idleness, no laziness, no procrastination. So, never put off till tomorrow what you can do today because nobody can confidently say that he/she will still be living tomorrow.

However, it's important to distinguish between procrastination and prioritizing. There are times when it is necessary to postpone a task if it truly is less important or urgent than something else that needs to be done, or if physically unfit to do the task at that time. But when neither of these are the case and you simply putt it off for the sake of reluctance to do it; then, this is procrastination.

Every single human being alive knows that putting off till tomorrow what one can do today is bad because this means that he/she has to work harder and even faster the next day. This is found among people who often postpone doing their work and wait for the deadline to come. When the cutoff comes, they find it difficult to sit and do their work.

It requires principles, discipline and will power to do one's duty on hand at once because tomorrow will be too late to do what we should have done a long time ago. Today is the right time for you to change especially in terms of your pattern, setting targets and getting jobs done. Tomorrow is another day, another challenge and there is another task that needs to be completed.

This is a very inspiring quote that I, myself live by heart because I am the type of person who never leave what I can do today and wait for tomorrow. Hope you will learn something from reading this article.

Great stuff, some of this is so obvious, but how often do we actually practice what we preach and get stuff done?  I am good at writing "to do" lists and even prioritising the things on the list, but so often I choose the "easy" thing to get done first, keen to cross it off my list(!), or I do the most pressing things like pay bills etc., but I don't always concentrate on the things that matter most to me, like creating a business from what I am doing, or making changes to my life to help me enjoy it more.  I am most productive in the mornings for example, but am also a bit of a night-owl, so it's good if you can identify when your best time of day is for getting things done, create your action lists and crucially make a start on them during your most productive time period.  Even small steps are fine, the key thing I find is to START doing something towards your goal, and then so often it doesn't feel like so big a task to complete it!  Sometimes you need help of course, that's where you can get some online mentoring like I have discussed in the past, and sometimes they can help you generate awesome morning routines to aid your productivity, but in reality we don't all need these tools, often we know what we need to do, we just need to remind ourself WHY we want to do these things to bring it back into focus.  Often when we are really present to the nature of our WHY then getting things done becomes far easier and less stressful.
